ON THE ISSUES
"My family has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember and I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs and make public safety and quality public services a top priority. I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate complicated governmental agencies, and get things done."
Making government work for the people is central to my campaign. I'm not interested in pushing a political agenda or making sure that all my ideas are politically correct. I want to do what's right for my constituents and our community and I'm willing to fight to get the services we deserve.
From roads and sidewalks to libraries and job opportunities, Kern County deserves better.
More than anything, I know that the job of a Kern County Supervisor is to protect the public trust and act in a way that is open and transparent while protecting public money and working to find new sources of revenue.
The pillars of fiduciary duty, honesty, and transparency will drive my campaign and will be my guiding stars as I serve the people of the 3rd Supervisorial District.
We deserve a system that serves the public health and makes sure that diseases are not going unchecked in our community, children are getting the care they need, and that everyone has access to the medications they deserve.
Our current system is a compromised patchwork that stresses the public and the dedicated workers who try to deliver those services. It's time for leadership in public health so our kids make it to school ready to learn, our young people are ready to work, and retirees are treated with the dignity they deserve.
Public service should be for public servants. If you're working for an extra paycheck to line your pockets, you should stay in the private sector. I've dedicated my life to serving my community as a firefighter and I'm ready to continue fighting for the working men and women of Kern County.
Kern County is my home and I love it here. We need to stand together to protect the things that make Kern County great while we continue to build and improve for our families and future generations.
